(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don’t know who you are but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
Many thanks for making the effort to discuss this, I feel strongly about this and enjoy learning a great deal more on this matter. If feasible, as you gain knowledge, would you mind updating your webpage with a great deal more information? It’s extremely beneficial for me.
It is actually taken me a little time to read each of the comments, but I must say i loved the post. I am sure it’s going to be very useful to me. It’s always an excellent surprise when a post is both beneficial and enjoyable! Thanks a lot 🙂
Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
I’ve been absent for some time, but now I remember why I used to love this website. Thanks , I’ll try and check back more often. How frequently you update your site?

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Great share! I appreciate you for this informative post and i look forward to reading much more of your posts at some point. Have added your site into my google reader. 🙂
I want to start a blog where I can talk to people and have them respond to my blogs. Not myspace or facebook. I tried blogger but the only blogs I could find were about global warming and guns. I want some where that I can open an account and say what I feel and people respond to my blogs and I can respond to theres. If anyone could help me that would be great!.
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little investigation on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I found so many interesting stuff in your blog especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the enjoyment here! keep up the good work.
You…are…my…hero!!! I cant believe something like this exists on the internet! Its so true, so honest, and more than that you dont sound like an idiot! Finally, someone who knows how to talk about a subject without sounding like a kid who didnt get that bike he wanted for Christmas.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Many thanks for sharing this good write-up. Very inspiring! (as always, btw)
Very interesting points you’ve got noted , thanks for putting up.
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little investigation on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Yes – The article is really very interesting! I will continue to try me here to keep you informed. Thank you!
This post is indeed quite interesting. Keep it up! I’ll try here to further the contributions Vervolg.
Your area is valueble for me. Thanks!…

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read much more, thanks for that info.
I like this website very much, Its a very nice position to read and receive information. “I ran the wrong kind of business, but I did it with integrity.” by Sydney Biddle Barrows.
Wow! Many thanks! I usually necessary to write on my website something like that. Can one implement an integral part of your post to my site?
When do you think this Real Estate market will go back right side up? Or is it still too early to tell? We are seeing a lot of housing foreclosures in Altamonte Springs Florida. What about you? We would love to get your feedback on this.
